J.J. Watt is Putting in the Mega Watts for Nike

Many in the Houston, Texas area are very familiar with the 6ft 5in, 290lb Houston Texan defensive tackle. But few across the country are familiar with the newly released (projected June 1st release) “Mega Watt” Nike Free 5.0 shoes. Watt released via Twitter a glimpse of these sweet kicks, which are great for most foot types and uses.

Nike Free are popular minimalist shoes for all types of training and running. It is common to avoid minimalist shoes for long distances, but there is an on going debate for and against minimalism (mainly because of SHOCK absorption).

Watt is one of the most popular young, ELECTRIFYING NFL stars. The 11th pick in the 2011 draft out of Wisconsin is known for his freakish size, speed and skills. He was the 2012 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and is donating a portion of the proceeds of his shoe sales to his Children’s Athletic Foundation.

You don’t have to have a size 15 foot to slip into these “Mega Watts”, but the price has yet to be released so don’t be “SHOCKED” if they rival Lebron James’ “King James” record of $315!
